Partner Support Group
The Worcestershire Prostate Cancer Support Group does a fantastic job of supporting men in the local community when they are diagnosed with or living with Prostate Cancer. This horrid disease doesn’t just impact men—it affects everyone around them, especially their partners.
We know how important it is for partners to have the opportunity to talk and share their experiences with others who have supported their loved ones. Over the past year, our Partners’ Group has been providing a safe and welcoming space for partners to connect, share, and find support.
Get Involved
The group meets every two months at the Perdiswell Young People’s Leisure Centre (just off Droitwich Road, Worcester) to share their experiences and support each other and regularly attracts about 12 partners from the local area who want to be supported away from the medical profession but in the company of others who have experienced the same as them.
“12 partners met to share the unspeakable and voice the unbearable in an atmosphere of care and support. These partners are grappling with a changed way of life and much uncertainty. We arrived as a group of strangers but who have ended up friends and confidantes.”
